The Correctional Law Association exists as a forum for the discussion of topics surrounding the philosophy of incarceration and punishment within the broader administration of justice in both Canadian and international jurisdictions. It seeks to encourage informed discussion, debate and knowledge sharing between University of Toronto law students and recognized expert practitioners in human rights law and criminal justice. It explores complex contemporary issues within corrections systems in both Canadian and international jurisdictions, and advocates for humane and rehabilitative solutions to crime and and its causes.'
