Janice Gross Stein is the Director of the Munk Centre for International Studies at the University of Toronto, the Harrowston Professor of Conflict Management, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada. Her most recent publications are Networks of Knowledge: Collaborative Innovation in International Learning (2001), The Cult of Efficiency (2001), and Street Protests and Fantasy Parks: Globalization, Culture, and Society (2002). She is currently working on the social understanding of accountability at the global and local levels.
