Peter Russell O.C., B.A. (Toronto), B.A., M..1. (Oxford), LL.D. (Calgary), F.R.S.C.

Generally interested in the constitution and the judicial process. Has been a member of the Department of Political Science since 1958, and taught for two years at Makerere University in Uganda. He was Director of Research for the McDonald Commission on the RCMP, a member of the Federal Task Force on Comprehensive Land Claims and President of the Canadian Political Science Association. He chaired the Research Advisory Committee for the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples. His recent publications include articles on constitutional politics, judicial independence, Aboriginal peoples and two books, Constitutional Odyssey and The Clash of Rights. The latter co-authored with Paul Sniderman, Joseph Fletcher and Philip Tetlock.
