Never seen The Paper Chase? Love the thrill of watching Tom Cruise take on the sinister partners of a big law firm? Want to know how RGB made it to the Supreme Court Bench, against all odds? Have no idea what we are even talking about?! Grab some popcorn, sit back, relax, and join the law film society!

The Law Film Society (LFS) is a network of students bonding over a mutual love of legal films. Our mission is to foster a sense of community amongst upper and lower year students through idea sharing and relationship building over Hollywood’s many representations of the legal profession. Our society selects and watches films from various areas of the law, and engages in meaningful and multifaceted discussions of each film following the group viewing. We organize monthly film screenings, followed by a discussion of the film and relevant topics facilitated by our executive team. Some topics we hope to explore are professionalism and diversity. Examples of LFS programming may include panel discussions as well as partnered events with other law school and U of T clubs, faculty, industry professionals and subject matter experts.
