Prof. Sujit Choudhry comments on the chances of the same-sex marriage bill being appealed in the Supreme Court ("Liberal MPs may join opposition to halt marriage bill," Globe and Mail, July 19, 2003).

Prof. Choudhry says he doesn't think the Supreme Court will stop the same-sex marriage bill, and that it's extremely rare for a third party to be granted appellant status once the losing side drops out of a constitutional case.
