Justin Khan is a legal professional who works for the not-for-profit organization, Law in Action Within Schools (LAWS). LAWS is the joint partnership between the Faculty of Law at the University of Toronto and Osgoode Hall Law School at York University. LAWS connects the resources of Toronto's legal community to the benefit of inner-city and newcomer youth facing personal and systemic barriers to education and career success. At LAWS, he has had the opportunity of working directly with all seven partner high schools, in both the Core and Newcomer Programs, respectively. Under his current portfolio, he is working to create new partner relations with justice sector organizations across the GTA, as well as developing a program for LAWS alumni students currently enrolled in post-secondary education.

Justin graduated from law school with high honours and during his three years he was Student Head of Pro Bono Initiatives and was part of an Innocence Network Chapter. As a lawyer, Justin has taken a keen interest in human rights work and promoting legal diversity within the justice sector. He has previously been a volunteer Policy Advisor at the Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network where he worked with a Jamaican based lawyer on a Supreme Court challenge against Jamaica’s anti-sodomy laws. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for The 519 Community Centre, one of North America's largest LGBTQ2+ Community Centres. At The 519 he Chairs the Strategic Planning Committee and sits on the Fundraising and Philanthropy Committee. Through The 519, he is currently chairing an advisory committee of a select group of Toronto's LGBTQ2+ lawyers to implement a three-year strategy which focusses on establishing and supporting the development of a legal framework to ensure accountable systemic change. Justin is also serving as Chair, 2019 Green Space Festival, in support of The 519.
