Susan Opler graduated from the Faculty of Law with her LL.B. in 1985. She has worked as a litigation partner at McCarthy Tétrault, a criminal prosecutor in Scarborough, an adjudicator and leader on the Consent and Capacity Board and the Law Society Tribunal and most recently, as the City of Toronto's Ombudsman. A proud recipient of the Law Society's Laura Legge Award and the SOAR (Society of Adjudicators and Regulators) Medal, she has taught hundreds of adjudicators, judges, justices of the peace, practicing lawyers, law students and public servants on topics including administrative fairness, human rights and hearing management.
