Adjunct Professor

Jonathan Daniels, B.A. (McGill) 1990, J.D. (Toronto) 1994, is VP Regulatory Law with Bell Canada. He is a lawyer by training now practicing telecommunications law and has been working with Bell Canada since 2004. From 2002-2003 he served as V.P. of Regulatory for Cable & Wireless based in the Cayman Islands, where his responsibilities included negotiating with Caribbean governments for the liberalization of the telecommunications sector in more than 10 countries. He has also been VP of Regulatory and Carrier Relations for C1 Communications in Toronto, Director of Regulatory for Covad Communications and Director of Regulatory Affairs for Sprint Canada. After law school, Mr. Daniels articled and was an associate with the law firm Stikeman, Elliott. In his various roles, Mr. Daniels has appeared before Committees of the House of Commons, the Senate, the CRTC and numerous regulators in the Caribbean. Mr. Daniels has also taught telecommunications markets at Ryerson and has published a number of articles in the telecommunications and broadcasting fields.
