Adjunct Professor

Adam Ship, B.A. (Hon) 2004 (Toronto), JD 2007 (Toronto), called to the Bar of Ontario in 2008, Litigation Partner and Vice-Chair, Franchise & Distribution Group, McCarthy Tétrault LLP.  Mr. Ship’s practice focuses franchise-distribution law and complex commercial litigation. He has appeared as counsel before all levels of court in Ontario, the Supreme Court of Canada, and various arbitral panels and statutory tribunals.  In addition to significant expertise in franchise-distribution litigation, Mr. Ship provides strategic and risk management advice/opinions in all areas of franchise-distribution law to clients across a wide range of industries and sectors. Mr. Ship writes, and has published widely, in the area of franchise and distribution law and received the Ontario Bar Association's Award for Excellence in Franchise Law in 2012 and 2013 for his writing in this area.  Prior to joining McCarthys, Mr. Ship clerked at the Ontario Court of Appeal.  Contact:
