Instructor(s): Malcolm Thorburn
LLM Seminar

For graduate students, the course number is LAW7573HF.

Schedule: Two Mondays per month 12:30 - 2:00 pm.

This section of the course is for students studying remotely, via audio-visual conference. To enrol in this course all students must meet or exceed the tech requirements for enrolment in University of Toronto courses, which can be found here [

Attendance is mandatory. Every absence (justified or not) will require students to prepare an additional assignment. Two unjustified absences will result in a failing grade. Justified absences are those accepted under our accommodations policy and, whenever possible, requested in advance of the class.

This optional course is designed for and only open to students taking the LLM Seminar: Mandatory Course (LAW7572HF). The course allows students to take two more skills-based modules in addition to the one selected for LLM Seminar: Mandatory Course (LAW7572HF). The two modules selected for this course cannot overlap with the one selected for the LLM Seminar (LAW7572HF). This means that students taking this course will be taking all three skills-based modules.

Pass/fail, based on attendance and completion of the assignments in the skills-based modules. Students are required to attend two classes per month (one for each of the two additional elected modules). Each class will be 1.5 hours (9 hours during the fall semester). Note: Students taking this course will be taking a total of four classes per month throughout the term: two for the co-requisite LLM Seminar: Mandatory Course (LAW7572HF) and two for this seminar.
