Memorial Ceremony for Stefan at the Faculty of Law

Thursday October 22nd, 9:30 – 10:30 in Alumni Hall, Victoria University

All are welcome

The Faculty of Law is deeply saddened to announce the passing of JD/MBA student Stefan Djordjevic on August 8, 2015. He had completed his second year of the combined program, and was a member of the Class of 2017.

Stefan was a Varsity athlete, and had played on the University of Toronto water polo team. As a member of Canada’s national water polo team, he assisted the team in landing a silver at the 2011 Pan Am games in Mexico City.

This summer he was an MBA intern at the firm of Duff and Phelps. He also provided private tutoring for students studying for the LSAT, and was a peer mentor for first-year law students. Stefan volunteered at Downtown Legal Services, and was a student ambassador for the Ontario Bar Association and JD/MBA association.

He obtained his undergraduate degree in psychology at York University and was on the dean’s list. He will be greatly missed by the U of T community across various faculties.

Grief counsellors will be available to meet with students at the law school on Tuesday August 11th at 3:00 pm in FA3 in Falconer Hall. In addition, Assistant Dean Alexis Archbold is available to speak with students individually. Students can contact her directly, including after hours, at alexis.archbold@utoronto.ca.

Funeral service information can be found here.

We extend our sincere condolences to Stefan’s family and friends. Our thoughts are with them during this time.
