Out in Law

Out in Law is a group for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, transsexual and queer people and their friends at the Faculty of Law. Involvement is very flexible and confidentiality is always respected. Some people limit their involvement to being on our e-mail listserv, while others take a more active role in attending social gatherings and planning events.

  • Recent Social and Academic Events Hosted by Out in Law include:
  • Panel discussions on topics of interest to LGBTQ students, including same
sex marriage litigation and the legal rights of transgendered persons
  • Bi-weekly social gatherings at pubs in the Church-Wellesley neighbourhood and across Toronto. Our events often include Osgoode Hall law students or other University of Toronto students (Medical students, MBA students)
  • Wine & cheeses
  • Working with the SOGI (Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity) international human rights working group
