Technology and Intellectual Property (TIP) Group

TIP is a group of law students who are interested in biotechnology, information technology and intellectual property law. Some members have previous work and educational experience in the field but organizers stress that no expertise is necessary to join this group.

Among the organization’s goals and initiatives

  • to offer seminars which attract practicing lawyers who speak about the latest developments in technology and intellectual property law
  • to arrange field trips or meetings between students and professionals in the fields of interest
  • to organize an annual conference focusing on a particular theme which attracts students, lawyers, industry professionals and academics. Past conference themes have included IP Rights in Virtual Space, MP3 technology, Internet broadcasting and censorship and privacy
