Emerging Scholars:

It is our aim - and that of our sponsors and partners - not only to further our knowledge and understanding of health policy, but also to promote and encourage the research skills of an emerging set of scholars.

As we are based at the Faculty of Law at the University of Toronto, we are lucky to be able to draw upon a pool of research assistants who have already undergone the rigours of completing an undergraduate degree in a wide range of areas. This means we are often able to match the focus of each subset of research for our project with students from a similar background (i.e. economics, political science, and philosophy). Also, our research team members from other institutions have engaged students outside of law to help with research.

We have harnessed to date (December 2004) the skills of 9 JD (LLB) students, 1 BSc student, 2 LLM students, 2 MSc students, and 3 SJD (doctorate in law) students.

They have helped us by preparing background papers and co-authoring working papers, some of which are available on our "Publications" page. We would like to thank all these students for the efforts on the project.
