PBSC-McCarthy Tétrault Public Interest Internship

The PBSC-McCarthy Tétrault Public Interest Internship is a new and unique opportunity for three first year law students to be exposed to the delivery of pro bono legal services at a leading Bay Street firm.

Interns will gain practical experience assisting lawyers from McCarthy Tétrault on a variety of the firm's pro bono files.  Students will receive PBSC volunteer training, PBSC-Westlaw legal research and writing training and an introduction to business law in preparation for the internship.

How Does the PBSC-MT Internship Work?

Interested students will submit resumes and cover letters to the PBSC-MT Volunteer Coordinator expressing why they are interested in working on pro bono files at McCarthy Tétrault. PBSC and McCarthy Tétrault will then select three students for the internship. Students may also apply to other PBSC projects.

Students selected to participate will attend PBSC training in late September. They will also be given the opportunity to participate in McCarthy Tétrault specialized training programs. Students will work alongside partners and associates at the firm on pro bono files.
