For low-income individuals, the stress of facing legal problems can be unbearable. The Faculty of Law is home to two outstanding programs that help to address this issue: Pro Bono Students Canada (PBSC) and Downtown Legal Services (DLS). With the help of our law students, each program works to address the access to justice issue, but like all publicly funded institutions, both programs are constantly facing financial pressures.

Now there is a way to support access to justice initiatives here at the law school through the United Way.

For the first time, people participating in the United Way At Work Campaign can opt to direct their UW donations to PBSC or DLS. Check off "Pro Bono Students Canada" or “Downtown Legal Services” on your United Way at Work form.

Your help can have a tremendous impact on these two widely recognized programs—and on access to justice.
