The University of Toronto Faculty of Law was once again ranked the No. 1 law school in Canada, according to the 2015 QS World University Rankings by Subject released today.

The QS rankings are considered among some of the most prominent global rankings, and uses academic and employer reputational data and research citations in its computations.

Harvard Law School was named the top law school in the world, followed by University of Cambridge and University of Oxford.

The U of T Faculty of Law ranks No. 1 in Canada as well in Maclean’s professional schools ranking.

“I am delighted that our Faculty of Law was once again recognized as the top law school in Canada, and one of the very best law schools in the world,” says Dean Ed Iacobucci. “Recognition like this is a reflection of our incredible faculty, staff, students and devoted alumni, and I am very proud of the remarkable community that is our law school.”

This is the fifth edition of the subject area guide, which evaluated 3,551 universities, qualified 2,186, and ranked 894 institutions in total.

The University of Toronto overall ranks again among the world's elite institutions in 24 of the 36 subjects.
