Free outreach event promotes legal education among diverse and disadvantaged youth
(Toronto, ON) The Faculty of Law's annual open house, "See Yourself Here," is an inspiring, educational event to encourage high school, university and mature students from diverse economic and multicultural backgrounds to consider a career in law.
Attendees attend motivating speaker sessions, educational workshops, and a networking reception with law students, alumni and members of the legal community.
"See Yourself Here" started as an initiative by the Black Law Students‚ Association to target black youth, and has since successfully expanded to include law students and participants from a broad range of communities, such as Indo-Caribbean, Aboriginal, Portuguese, Hispanic, Arabic and Tamil, that have historically been underrepresented in legal education and the profession.
