Prof. Audrey Macklin available to comment on Supreme Court of Canada decision in Omar Khadr case

(Toronto, Jan. 28, 2010) - The Supreme Court of Canada has announced it will release its decision in the case of the Prime Minister of Canada v. Omar Khadr at: 9:45 am - Friday, January 29, 2010

At issue in the case is whether the Federal Court’s order that the Prime Minister must request Omar Khadr’s repatriation to Canada will stand. The International Human Rights Program and the David Asper Centre for Constitutional Rights at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law joined forces with Human Rights Watch to intervene in the appeal before the Supreme Court of Canada.
