The latest issue of the University of Toronto Law Journal (62:2) is a special issue that honours Prof. Ernest Weinrib on the occasion of his being awarded the Killam Prize in recognition of his outstanding contributions to legal scholarship.

Prof. Weinrib celebrated receiving the prize by giving a public lecture, "Private Law and Public Right,"  that developed a new set of ideas. This special issue of UTLJ publishes his lecture together with pieces by former students of his who have made important contributions to private law theory.  In his editor's note, Prof. Arthur Ripstein discusses Prof. Weinrib's distinguished career and exceptional contributions, which are developed further in Prof. Bruce Chapman's article "Ernie's Three Worlds."  The other articles are by Profs. Allan Beever (University of South Australia), Peter Benson, Alan Brudner, and Martin Stone (Cardozo).
