The Faculty of Law congratulates the following SJD and LLM students on their successful grant applications this year:


Michael Da Silva is now in the second year of the SJD program, working on “The Legitimacy and Limits of Constitutional Health
Rights”, under the supervision of Prof. Colleen Flood. He was awarded a Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship (CIHR).

Randle DeFalco (LLM 2013) has returned to the Faculty as an SJD student, working on “International Criminal Justice and Indirect
Violence: Improving the Relationship between International Human Rights and Criminal Legal Doctrine” under the supervision of Interim Dean Jutta Brunneé. Randle was awarded an Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship (SSHRC).

Andrew Martin is now in his second year of the SJD program, working under the supervision of Prof. Trudo Lemmens on “The Future of Mandatory Reporting Laws: Developing a Legal and Policy Framework for Determining What Reporting Obligations to Impose on Professionals.” He was awarded a Joseph-Armand Bombardier CGS Doctoral Scholarship (SSHRC).

Régine Tremblay is also in her second year of the SJD program. Under the supervision of Prof. Brenda Cossman, she is working on a thesis on “Law’s Families or Family Laws?” She was awarded a SSHRC Doctoral Fellowship.

Greg Bowley started his LLM program at the Faculty of Law this fall, working on “The Weakest Link—Is Private Nuisance a Reliable Element in Canada's Environmental Protection Regimes?”, under the supervision of Prof. Andrew Green. He was awarded a Canada Graduate Scholarship – Masters.
