Curtis Bradley, BA (Colorado) 1985, JD (Harvard) 1988, is the Richard and Marcy Horvitz Professor of Law and Professor of Public Policy Studies at Duke University. He specializes in international law, U.S. foreign relations law, presidential power, and federal court jurisdiction. He has written numerous articles and essays in leading law reviews and is also the co-author of a casebook on U.S. foreign relations law. Before entering academia in 1995, he clerked for Judge David Ebel of the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and Justice Byron White of the U.S. Supreme Court, and then practiced law for several years at Covington & Burling in Washington, D.C. In 2004, he served as Counselor on International Law in the Legal Adviser’s Office of the U.S. State Department. He is now a member of the Secretary of State’s Advisory Committee on International Law.
