Scott Wilkie, is a tax partner of Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP. Scott is one of the highest-profile tax practitioners in Canada, with particular expertise in international taxation, corporate taxation, taxation of financial transactions, transfer pricing and tax policy. Scott has written numerous publications and frequently delivers addresses on these subjects. He is a past president of the Canadian branch of the International Fiscal Association and active in its affairs. Scott is a twice former governor and former chair of Canadian Tax Foundation, and former chair of the National Tax Section of the Canadian Bar Association and former co-chair of the Joint Committee on Taxation of the Canadian Bar Association and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. He is a former co-editor of the Canadian Tax Journal of the Canadian Tax Foundation. He returned in the 2012 / 2013 academic year to teach international taxation at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law where he formerly was an adjunct professor, has taught international taxation for many years at Osgoode Hall Law School, York University where he is a co-director of the Professional LLM Specializing in Tax Law and has been a guest or sessional lecturer at McGill University Faculty of Law, the University of Western Ontario Faculty of Law, New York University Law School, and McMaster University in its Graduate Economics Program. He is an Executive Fellow at the University of Calgary’s School of Public Policy. Scott is also a member of the International Advisory Council, International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (The Netherlands) and is past co-chair of the Tax Committee of the American Bar Association Section of International Law. Scott received his LLB from the University of Toronto in 1980 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1982.
