Peter Ruby, B.Comm. (Concordia) 1990, LL.B. (Osgoode) 1994, LL.M. (Osgoode) 2000, is a litigation partner practicing with Goodmans LLP in the fields of Internet, telecommunications, information technology, intellectual property, and administrative law. Mr. Ruby represents telecommunications undertakings, hardware, software and service creators and providers, internet content companies, internet search engines, internet service providers, owners of information technology (IT) businesses, IT distributors, IT professionals, government, users of information technology and others. He has appeared before a variety of courts and tribunals, including the Supreme Court of Canada and CRTC, and represented both start-ups and multinational corporations such as Google, Oracle and SAP. Mr. Ruby taught Communications Law at Osgoode Hall Law School from 2001 to 2003 and has been an Adjunct Professor at the University of Toronto since 2004.
