Paul Perell

Paul Perell, L.S.M., B.A. (University of Toronto, 1971), LL.B. (Osgoode Hall Law School, 1974), LL.M. (Osgoode Hall Law School, 1989), Ph.D. (Osgoode Hall Law School, 1998), is a judge of the Superior Court of Justice. Before his appointment to the bench in May 2005, he was a partner at WeirFoulds, LLP, where he practiced legal research and civil litigation. He is an adjunct professor at Osgoode Hall Law School and at the University of Toronto. He is a former editor of the Ontario Reports and the author of numerous articles and several books including The Law of Civil Procedure with John W. Morden. He has been awarded the Award for Excellence in Real Estate, Canadian Bar Association (2004), the James L. Lewtas Professorship in Commercial Law, Osgoode Hall Law School (2003–2004), the Law Society Medal (2003), the Distinguished Service Award, Canadian Bar Association–Ontario (1997), and the David W.
