Michael Dobner is a partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Consulting & Deals Group. Michael has approximately 35 years of experience as an advisor to lawyers, corporations and governments as well as an expert witness in business valuation, loss quantification, intellectual property, competition act and other economic issues.

Michael has been qualified as an expert in courts and other quasi-judicial bodies regarding a large variety of commercial disputes. He has also served as an arbitrator and mediator in cases involving shareholder disputes, M&A transactions and licensing arrangements. He has served as an economic/ financial advisor to large corporations and high profile commissions set by provincial and federal governments in Canada. In addition to Canada, Michael has practiced and testified internationally in Europe, Latin America, the U.S. and the Middle East.

Michael has been invited numerous times to speak at conferences and to educate senior and junior lawyers about valuation, loss quantification, economic issues and intellectual property.  He has also participated in numerous mock trials to train young lawyers in examination and cross examination of experts.
