Adjunct Professor

John McInnes, B.A. (Toronto) 1992, LL.B. (British Columbia) 1995, called to the Bar of Ontario 1997. After being called to the Bar in 1997, Mr. McInnes practiced as a criminal defence counsel in Toronto until 2000. In 2000, Mr. McInnes joined the Crown Law Office - Criminal practising criminal law exclusively on behalf of the Attorney General for Ontario. Mr. McInnes appears regularly as both trial and appellate counsel at all levels of Court in Ontario and in the Supreme Court of Canada. Mr. McInnes is a regular speaker at continuing legal education programs, and he has published several articles on criminal law topics, including evidence and constitutional law.  He has taught Criminal Procedure at the Faculty of Law since the 2009-10 academic year.
