Eileen E. Gillese

Justice Eileen E. Gillese of the Ontario Court of Appeal is a former Superior Court Justice, Dean and Professor of Law of the Faculty of Law, the University of Western Ontario.  A Rhodes Scholar (1977), holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and Commerce from the University of Alberta and undergraduate and graduate law degrees from Oxford University, England. Member of the Bars of Alberta (1981) and Ontario (1988). She is a former Chair of the Pension Commission of Ontario (1994-96); the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (1998-99); and, the Financial Services Tribunal of Ontario.  She was named one of Canada’s top 100 women in 2006 and a Leading Educator of the World in 2008. Awarded Honourary degree (LLD) from the Law Society of Upper Canada in 2001.  She is widely published in the trusts and pension fields.
