Jerome Christensen teaches film studies and Romantic-period literature at U. C. Irvine. He is the author of four books on eighteenth and nineteenth century authors, including David Hume, Lord Byron, and Samuel Taylor Coleridge. His most recent book,  America’s Corporate Art: The Studio Authorship of Hollywood Motion Pictures, was published by Stanford University Press in 2012. He is currently at work on a study of postmillennial Hollywood, and the financialization of American culture.
