Idle No More Awareness Week Panel - Indigenous Legal Traditions - ALSA

Thursday, March 21, 2013 - 12:30pm to 2:00pm
Location:
FLC

As part of Idle No More week at U of T (March 18th-23rd), we are organizing a
panel on Indigenous Legal Traditions. Many departments and faculties across
campus have taken up the call to hold disciplinary panels as part of the Idle
No More week at UofT and in solidarity with the movement.

Here at the Faculty of Law, students Lindsay Borrows and Sylvia Plain will
participate in a panel discussion on Indigenous Law. The panellists are
members of, and have lived in, diverse Indigenous communities across Canada.
They will share how Indigenous law along with its very important
extra-political values such as love, honesty, kindness, bravery, respect and
truth, form part of the solution to a better future for all Canadians.
