The Blackboard program will be used for this course. Students must self-enrol in Blackboard as soon as confirmed in the course in order to obtain course information.

A survey course of environmental law and policy with a particular emphasis on Ontario law and federal law. Topics will include pollution control, climate change, environmental assessment and corporate environmental responsibility. We will also examine the economic and scientific background to environmental issues and consider problems with current regulatory and liability regimes.

Evaluation
Students will be required to write a 500 word (double spaced) comment on selected readings for three of the classes (20%) and a 5,000 word (double spaced) paper on an issue of their choosing (80%).
