Anna Vera Kempston Bursary

From the Spring 2000 issue of Nexus.

A gift from V. Maureen Kempston Darkes, O.C. '73 has been matched by the university to create the Anna Vera Kempston Bursary in memory of her mother, Anna Vera Kempston.

Mrs. Anna Vera Kempston deeply valued higher education and believed that it should be accessible to all students who show the ability to succeed, regardless of their financial circumstances.

The creation of this student aid award is a tribute to Mrs. Kempston and the unwavering encouragement and support she provided to her daughter Maureen and sons John and Stephen. The law school is deeply honoured to be able to award this bursary in Mrs. Kempston's memory to deserving students in the LL.B. programme who have demonstrated financial need.
