The OLSAS application will remain open for University of Toronto applicants only until Thurs, Nov 15, 4:30pm EST. If UT is the only Ontario law school to which you are applying, this extended deadline date will work for you. This extension does not apply to any applicant who is submitting an OLSAS application for the purpose of applying to UT AND other Ontario law schools, as the OLSAS application for other Ontario law schools will close today, Fri, Nov 2, at 4:30pm EST.
If you have not already submitted an application you can simply go into the OLSAS application (http://www.ouac.on.ca/olsas/) between now and Nov 15 to submit a late application. If you have already submitted an OLSAS application and wish to add an application to the University of Toronto, send an email to olsas@ouac.on.ca requesting instructions on how to proceed. Applicants who submitted by the Nov 1 deadline who have yet to submit their transcripts can continue to do so. There is no penalty for transcripts to be submitted after the Nov 1 deadline. October 30, 2012OLSAS Application Deadline Extended to Nov 2, 2012 at 4:30pmAs a result of Hurricane Sandy, the Law School Admissions Council (LSAC) has been forced to delay the release of October LSAT scores. We understand some prospective applicants wrote the LSAT in October to receive their score prior to submitting an application. For these reasons, the Ontario Law School Application Service (OLSAS) has extended its application deadline from Thursday, November 1 at 11:59pm to Friday, November 2 to 4:30pm. For the University of Toronto application procedures, please visit http://www.law.utoronto.ca/admissions/jd-admissions, where there is a link to the OLSAS application site. August 23, 2012 UT Law Information Sessions Et. Al Our new academic year begins on Tuesday, September 4. The week after that, we also begin our season of going out to graduate school fairs and expos to meet potential applicants and answer your questions. Check out the Admissions Calendar of Events on the Faculty of Law website. It lists all the events where Admissions Office staffmembers will be available to answer applicant questions. This events listing shows that the first event where we hope to meet many of you will be held on Friday, September 14. We are hosting an Applying to UT Law information session here at the Faculty which is open to all. We will talk about admissions policies and procedures, and we will have a special student guest to talk about his/her experience applying to law schools and going to the UT Faculty of Law. If you are not able to join us on Sept 14, check out the Calendar of Events as this information session repeats on other dates. Or, if you can see on the Calendar of Events that we will be participating in a graduate school fair at your university, you can wait to meet us at that time. Or you can always contact us at law.admissions@utoronto.ca if you have any questions after reviewing our Admissions website. August 23, 2012 OLSAS Application Now Open The Ontario Law School Application Service (OLSAS) application for the 2013-2014 admission cycle is now open. Before submitting an application, we advise all applicants to review the following websites first: Our Admissions website, which details all of our admissions policies and procedures; and The OLSAS instruction booklet, which can be found on the OLSAS website.
Reviewing these websites will help tremendously in clarifying the steps for applying - and wouldn't it be less stressful and more productive to know these steps before starting the application? Also, the deadline is not until Thursday, November 1, so there is plenty of time at this point to review these websites prior to submitting an application. |
