Mandatory Core Course

All students must take the following evening core course:

Law and Business in a Global Economy

Evening Core Courses

Students must choose one from each pair of evening core courses:

Pair A

Comparative Corporate Governance or
Canadian Administrative Law*

Pair B

Securities Regulation and Corporate Finance or
Canadian Constitutional Law*

Pair C

Mergers and Acquisitions or
Canadian Criminal Law*

*These courses have been designed to meet the National Committee on Accreditation's requirements for internationally trained lawyers.

Three Day Weekend Core Courses

Students must choose one from each pair of three day weekend core courses: 

Pair A 

Canadian and Cross-border Issues in Corporate Tax or
Foundations of Canadian Law*

Pair B

International Dispute Resolution or
Professional Responsibility*

*These courses have been designed to meet the National Committee on Accreditation's requirements for internationally trained lawyers.

Two Day Weekend Elective Courses

Students must choose three of the following two day weekend elective courses (note that not all elective courses will necessarily be offered every year and additional courses may be offered as well):

  • Law and Policy of Public Private Partnerships

  • Intellectual Property Law

  • Regulated Industries and Competition Law

  • International Insolvency Law

  • Organization of Transactional Legal Practice

  • Corporate Social Responsibility, Ethics and the Law
